Rigid Reliability Testing
JBL Stage2 speakers have to go through environmental testing that would destroy other speakers. JBL freezes them, bakes them, shakes them, blasts them with ultraviolet light and drives them at full power for days at a time.

JBL design language
GTO 609C’s 6-1/2" woofer/midrange drivers feature durable fiberglass-reinforced plastic (FRP) frames that resist warping—even when mounted on uneven surfaces. The nonmagnetic carbon composite frame helps focus magnetic energy to the voice coil instead of dissipating it as heat, while also eliminating unwanted resonance. The result is more efficient performance and accurate, distortion-free sound.
